Decide the plan first
Layout, kitchen and bathrooms are the decisions that cost most to change. They should be settled early, with drawings and 3D views.
Leave room for the place
Some objects are better chosen after arrival: a painting, a rug found in a market, a chair inherited. A good project leaves space for them.
